Victorian Red
Victorian Red brick is one of the most recognisable building materials used across the UK. It was favoured as a cost effective alternative to traditional brick, where it could also be seen better through the London smog compared to grey alternatives.
Red brick buildings such as Liverpool’s Stanley Dock and St Pancras station still stand today, where we recommend this shade for any homeowners looking to add a sense of grandeur to their property.
Buff
For a lighter cast stone option, we recommend our Buff bricks, which come in a warm but muted golden shade. Buff originates from the colour of undyed leather tunics, which were worn throughout the 17th century and beyond.
Buff raw materials have been used for construction across the UK for centuries, where Cotswold stone is one example of this naturally occurring colour. This stone is a unique type of yellow limestone that has been utilised to build many traditional homes and public buildings.
